The course consists of the minimum
competencies established for training to be part of the navigational watch. The
applicants will be competent in taking the safety measures of the personnel,
the boat and using the fire extinguisher equipment correctly. The applicant
will learn about the classification to be part of the navigational watch.
To be eligible of the course the candidate must:-
· Have a valid good health certificate.
· Be 18 years old
· Have the four (4) basic safety training courses
Upon completion of the course the candidate would be able to do the following:-
· Govern the ship and carry out orders in the English language.
· Keep an appropriate visual and auditory monitoring.
· Contribute to monitoring and surveillance control.
· Manage emergency equipment and apply emergency procedures.
