This course will enable the participant to complete the minimum standards of competence in advanced level firefighting, making them competent to take control and organize the fire control equipment on board to control & monitor fire fighting operations.
To be eligible for the course the candidate must:
1. Possess a valid health certificate stating good health
2. Have a valid Fire Prevention and Fire-Fighting (FPFF) certificate
Upon completion of the course the participant would be equipped to do the following:-
1. Control of the fire-fighting operations on board.
2. Organize and train the fire-fighting crews.
3. To inspect and maintain fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment.
4. Investigate and collect information on events in which fires occur.
