Course Details
The Basic Training for oil and chemical tanker cargo operations course comprises a basic training program appropriate to duties on a tanker vessel such as oil and chemical tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable under applicable laws and regulations.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the course the candidate must be in good health, justified by a medical certificate stating the same.
Course Objective
Upon completion of the course the participant would be equipped to do the following:-
1. Contribute to the safe cargo operation of oil & chemical tankers and respond to any emergency.
2. Take precautions to prevent hazards and carry out fire-fighting operations.
3. Take precautions to prevent pollution of the environment from the release of oil or chemicals.
