During journeys at sea, different emergency cases may lead to abandonment of the ship. Hence it is important that the personnel working on board counts on the basic and necessary knowledge to respond to this kind of emergency.
This course will provide the necessary and required training to the participants to acquire competences in survival crafts and rescue boats (other than fast rescue boats), so they can provide immediate help in case of an abandonment emergency, thus procuring safety of life at sea.
To be eligible for the course the candidate must:
1. Be 18 years old.
2. Possess a valid health certificate stating good health
3. Have the following certificates
a) Elementary First Aid(EFA)
b) Fire Prevention and Fire-Fighting (FPFF)
c) Personal Survival Techniques(PST)
d) Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR)
e) Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD)
